Service Disruptions — Infrastructure Upgrade

Started: Mar 4, 2026 — Evening ET Last updated: Mar 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM ET Partial outage

On the evening of March 4th, we began rolling out infrastructure improvements to improve long-term performance and reliability. These changes caused intermittent service disruptions for some users, including errors or delays when syncing between Zendesk and your source control provider (GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps).

Our engineering team identified and addressed several root causes, and all services were fully restored by the afternoon of March 5th. We have continued to monitor closely and services have remained stable. We are also planning additional infrastructure upgrades in the coming weeks to further improve reliability and prevent similar issues in the future. We will plan that migration carefully to minimize any disruption.

We apologize for the inconvenience this caused. If you have any questions or notice anything unusual, please contact us at support@git-zen.com.

Monitoring
Mar 6, 2026 — 1:00 AM ET
After a full day of investigation and fixes yesterday, our team identified and addressed several underlying issues including memory leaks in HTTP resource handling, a blocking I/O bottleneck in our logging pipeline, and inefficiencies in request processing. We also deployed improved telemetry and monitoring to give us better visibility going forward.

Service appears stable this morning and we believe the core issues have been addressed, but we are continuing to monitor closely — particularly as our European customers come online for the afternoon. We are also planning an upgrade to more performant infrastructure in the coming weeks to further improve reliability. We will plan that migration carefully to minimize any disruption.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. If you are experiencing any issues or notice anything unusual, please reach out to us immediately at support@git-zen.com — your reports help us catch problems faster.
Monitoring
Mar 5, 2026 — 10:30 PM ET
We have deployed a series of fixes throughout the day addressing the root causes of today's disruptions. Service has stabilized significantly and most users should be experiencing normal performance. We are continuing to monitor closely overnight and will provide another update tomorrow morning.
Investigating
Mar 5, 2026 — 11:45 AM ET
We have deployed multiple fixes to address CPU and performance issues caused by the infrastructure changes. Service is improving but not yet fully stable. Our team continues to monitor and ship additional fixes.
Investigating
Mar 5, 2026 — 8:00 AM ET
European customers began reporting intermittent errors and timeouts early this morning. Our team is investigating and has identified the disruptions are connected to infrastructure changes deployed yesterday.
Investigating
Mar 4, 2026 — Evening ET
We began deploying infrastructure upgrades to improve long-term system performance and reliability. Some of these changes introduced unintended service disruptions.
