Jira: Issue Statuses
Jira groups every status into one of three status categories: To Do, In Progress, and Done. Git-Zen uses these categories, not your status names.
Statuses When You Link an Issue
Section titled “Statuses When You Link an Issue”When an agent links an existing issue, Git-Zen lists issues from the selected project. The list:
- Leaves out every issue whose status is in the Done category.
- Shows up to 100 issues, newest first by creation date.
Git-Zen caches the list for up to one hour. To see a new issue, click the refresh button next to the list.
Statuses When You Create an Issue
Section titled “Statuses When You Create an Issue”Jira sets the status of a new issue from the project’s workflow. The Status field on the “Create Issue” screen has no effect at this time. Git-Zen creates the issue in the workflow’s first status.
Statuses That Close an Issue
Section titled “Statuses That Close an Issue”Git-Zen treats a Jira issue as closed when its status changes to any status in the Done category. For example, “Done”, “Closed”, and “Resolved” are usually in this category. When this happens, Git-Zen can add tags to the ticket and solve it. See Comments and Closed Issues.
